Micah Dickerson

Micah (pictured left, with a fellow San Francisco running enthusiast) started running in 1993 when his best high-school friend, Doug, joined the wrestling team and asked for a crosstraining partner. After two runs, Doug quit the team, and Micah kept running. Over the next several years, Micah increased his distance gradually until he ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 1999 (his first) with the National AIDS Marathon Training Program's Los Angeles group. After a move to San Francisco and several more races, he began coaching for the AIDS program while being concurrently involved with the San Francisco Road Runners.

Eight years and many marathons, half marathons, 10K's, 5Ks, and training runs later, Micah remains an avid runner and evangelist for running. When not running, Micah enjoys a corporate job downtown, design school, and the occassional cocktail with friends.
